Glen, one of the biggest failure points of snow guards is the installation pattern. Generally too few are used or they are not installed in the correct pattern for the snow load and pitch of the roof. Rarely do the snow guards actually break. Use www.spacingtool.com for free layout help, use a bar system if the budget allows, secind choice is to screw down, glue down is the third option. Some panels don't allow all of these options.
