The simple answer is durability and the craftsmanship that goes into a traditional metal roof. Anyone with DIY experience can put tiles, felt or bitumen roofs on within reason. But only an experienced metal roofer could apply a decent copper,zinc or stainless roof. Its like buying a Ford or a Bentley! You know which is better quality but its about what you can afford!
