I have copper overhangs on my home. the black run off is staining everything. it does not seem to stop. what can I do to stop this. Is there a sealant that should have been put on?

There are coatings which can be applied to "bright" copper to prevent the patina. In your case, you'd have to go through a cleaning process first. That said, though, these coatings are difficult to apply correctly in a way which provides consistent and long term patina protection. I wonder a bit whether some diverters could be put in place to direct the run-off to areas where it will not be a problem.

We are looking for information on a product called Roof DX Copper for laying over membrane roofing on a flat roof. Have you ever heard of it or where I might find more information?

This is a new one for me. Normally copper is not used on flat roofing of any size because of the price. I would try the copper institute however if you have a small area that you want done, contact an established roofing and sheet metal shop and they should be able to hand form and install what you need.
