I have a metal roof on the front part of my house. should I have a lightning rod also? Do I need to worry about lightning? Thanks, Martha

Metal will conduct electricty but it does not "draw" it. Lightning instead seeks the path of least resistance which means it hits high objects. Research has been done into metal roofing and lightning with the conclusion that metal roofing does not increase the chance of a lightning strike. In the case of a building that is the highest object around, lightning protection might be wise regardless of the roofing material.
