I was wondering what the advantages are of aluminum over galvalumne. Can anyone tell me?

Galvalume is steel coated on its surface with an alloy which is largely aluminum. This is usually painted then, creating a corrosion resistant metal. For applications in highly corrosive environments, exposed cut edges of the panels, as well as scratched panels, are potential corrosion spots. Aluminum wll not red rust though it can develop some whitish corrosion. If you are in a corrosive environment, such as near the coast, check with the product manufacturers concerning the warranty and suitability of their products for your area.
