Was curious if anyone new of an "Ice Guard" sytem that can install over metal roofing (or other roofing materials) that provides protection from falling icicles or virtual missles. We understand there is such a product available and contains peaks or points whic can shatter the falling icicle before it penetrates the roof. Please help.

There are numerous "snowguard" and "snow fence" systems available of this nature.
An internet search for the above terms will yield many results or you can go back to your metal roofing manufacturer for their suggestions.
Some snowguard systems are designed to work with particular styles of metal roofing.
