I want to install a metal roof on my cabin. It will replace a shingled roof. I have skylights, now, and I want to replace them. I want to use a fixed skylight, not a vented one. I plan to install at least 3 2' x 4' skylights, or possibly 4 2' x 2' skylights. The metal roof will be the standard ribbed variety.
First, what is the minimum pitch needed for metal roof?
Second, what type of skylight should I install (flush or curb style) and how should the skylight be installed (sealants, type of flashing, etc.)?
THANKS.

Generally speaking, you should always use curb mounted skylights especially in any climate that gets snow or a lot of rain.
As to the roof slow, each system and manufacturer has their own limitations on minimum pitch as rafter length and roof configutration can impact it.
You should first choose a metal roof system and then contact the manufacturer for their recommendations.
