Can snow breaks be mounted at an angle to shed the snow off the roof but away from the garage door or do they need to be mounted horizontally?

Or copy this URL: https://www.metalroofing.com/spirit/comment/26457/find/I believe you are referring to snow bar / rail devices clamped to the raised seams. I don't see why this couldn't be done but I'd recommend talking to the manufacturer of the clamps.
