A pipe vent was in that area and there was rotten ply wood underneath. They replaced the wood, and installed a new vent pipe.
If you are asking was the metal already there then a pipe vent was put in later. No, this was a new install. They just finished yesterday, (Saturday, 8 Oct)
Should I insist on a redo?
