Not particularly good. Was the pipe added to an existing roof?

Thank you @tmiller. I orginally had an asphalt roof. The roof was the original from a house built in 2005. A pipe vent was in that area and there was rotten ply wood underneath. They replaced the wood, and installed a new vent pipe.

If you are asking was the metal already there then a pipe vent was put in later. No, this was a new install. They just finished yesterday, (Saturday, 8 Oct)

Should I insist on a redo?

It might be helpful to get installation specifications from the roof panel manufacturer. I would want it to be re-done if I were you though.
