Hi,
I’m having standing seam installed onto a roof that is hexagonal shaped. Please see attached pictures. My question is, is it even possible to have standing seam installed on roofs of this shape, and if it is possible, does it look like it’s being installed properly? The front of the roof already looks unusual, with a panel then a triangle shaped above it to try to follow the roofline. Also the panels are not joined so how will water not leak through? The roof installers have not been back in the last 2 days so that is why I think they are having problems completing it. Can you please comment and tell me what you think is wrong and how it can be properly installed? Thank you!

There is no reason this can't be done. And it can be done without any horizontal panel laps. It looks like they are working toward covers on the hips and that is appropriate. That said, I'd encourage them to reach out to the panel manufacturer for help on this and to probably remove everything and start over.
