Best pitch

I’m building off grid deep in a mature forest.

What pitch do I need for shedding pine needles and hardwood leaves?

Would you suggest galvalume or a harder panel?

Thanks.

The problem with pine needles is they carry sap. If they get stuck to the roof, they will not slide.

Certainly the steeper the pitch the better. However, if your roof has valleys and areas where tree debris may get stuck, going real steep will make it hard to get up there and clean.

Galvalume is carbon steel with an anti-corrosive aluminum coating. I am not sure what you mean by "harder".

Thanks for your interest.
