I am from a roofng manufacturer in SE Asia. We cannot pin down an industry standard for the following issues related to double lock seam and capped seam profiles.
1. At what pitch should you start to insert sealant tape or mastic for double lock standing seam ?
2. For capped or snap on seam profiles what is the pitch where you should insert a mastic or butyl tape ?
3. Can capped or snap on profiles be installed at pitches of less than 14 degrees. What is the advisable minimum.
The length of the roof sheet will be a factor that affects the answer of the above questions. Lets assume the roof sheet is 16 metres long.

This is outside my area of expertise. You might wish to contact some of the Metal Roofing Alliance member manufacturers who work with this type of product. You might contact Fabral, ATAS, and McElroy Metals direct.
