Paint fading on front of house adjacent to Galvalume roof (36’ x 22’) with 12 pitch. Told was related to heat from metal roof adjacent to cedar siding that is painted. Is this true and what can be done short of removing metal roof and replacing with asphalt shingles? Thank you
I have not experienced this situation before but I can see it being feasible. It sounds like this is a clear coated Galavalume roof. You could perhaps repaint it to a darker nonreflective color and be able to improve the situation.
