TOPIC: I Have An Existing Metal Roof and Have A Question

Manufacturer recommended bathroom fan roof vent

I thought this would be a 2 second google search but days later I'm baffled. I simply need to install a standard 4" bathroom fan vent on my metal roof. Best practice for metal roofs is a dektite type epdm rubber boot with flexible aluminum flashing built into it. That's what's used for DWV bathroom vent stacks. I cannot find a vent made with that style base. YouTube is full of people using vents designed for shingle roofs on metal roofs. Water will inevitably enter through the raised ribs. If anyone knows where the bathroom fan vents for metal roofs are made please share a link or specific product and manufacturer. It must pass IBC building code and/or be recommended by the roof manufacturer. I will not vent a bathroom fan into a soffit because that just leads to moisture in the attic. Thank you!

Broan makes a dampered vent that I have seen used before. There is a "Metal Roof Installers" group on Facebook. I would suggest joining that group and posting your concern. There are several thousand experienced metal roof installers on there and they are generally a very helpful group that will likely have some photos to share of similar applications.
