Standing Seam Butyl Tape

Return to Forum

Cosmetic waiver, insurance denied it. No punctures or cracking in the coating. But there are plenty of 2"+ impacts on the seams. Does the damage shift from cosmetic to functional if the butyl tape has been disturbed on the seams. Roof is approximately 15 years old. Any info or bulletins would be appreciated. Thanks

Is there any way you can go back to the manufacturer and get their input on this? There are many different types of seams and panels produced.
