Return to Forum

Hi
a few homes in our hoa have metrotile installed 2006-2007
is that the same company that is part of the ross group who puts out tilcor in the usa and metrotile in new zealand.

also does anyone know if the tilcor stone coated product that has existed only since 2010 is the same product as their metrotile counterpart.
Just trying to figure out if tilcor is too "new " to try.(2010 introduction)

thanks again
EB

Thanks. I think the Tilcor folks should be happy to share with you about the history and development of their product and how it stacks up in the industry. I am sorry but I really don't have the information you are seeking.

Thank you for the assistance here.
MRA is an awesome sight re info for the homeowner.
In southwest florida there are few installs of stone coated metal tile compared to cement, apshalt.
cement tile is 7.50-8.00/ft2 while stone coated metal tile is 10.00 and up
I have learned to realize that correct installation is important.
I have received quotes for tilcor from roofers who havent installed one yet and reveal that the tilcor rep will be onsite to guide.
