TOPIC: I Have An Existing Metal Roof and Have A Question

Valley overshoot

Help! The water overshoot in the valley pictured is horrendous. We have the biggest gutters on the market. There was a smaller diverter that we increased in size but that didn’t help. As you can see in the picture the force of the water coming off this roof has bent the diverter. Of course this is right by our front door. uploading 3F443FD7-4E53-4DFE-A9ED-798A18FE2837.jpeg

Picture didn't come through. Can you email it to Todd Miller via this site?

He can attach it.

I also have an existing metal roof and having huge issues with valley gutter overshoot. Installed larger gutters and largest attached gutter diverter/shield available. Still overshoots around edges of diverter. Thinking of having husband rig an extension to the diverter/shield to allow water a greater distance to enter gutter. Before I ask him, thought I should check to see if you think this will work. If not, do you have other idea? Thanks.

Thanks. That sounds like a safe plan. I don't have any other ideas. Sorry you have encountered this. Be sure to use metal that is plenty heavy
