Your area of the country has many successful metal roof installations. Hire an experienced installer -- check references first, Get the manufacturer involved for their input if there are specific issues or concerns. I own and operate a residential metal roofing company. Metal roofing is better suited to the harsh climate change we experience in minnesota every year. It will shed snow better and if you choose a light color it will reduce your cooling costs in the summer.
