I'm going to install heater cables on my metal roof because I had some ice damming issues last winter. It's there a recommended product for adhering the brackets to the roof without any drilling or otherwise penetration to the roof? I'd rather not do anything like that for fear of messing up my 30 year warranty on the roof. Recommendation for adhesives or other varying products would be appreciated. Thanks, - Craig

What kind of roof do you have?

you may want to look at your insulation and ventilation before you consider heat cables. if you are experiencing ice dams at wide overhangs you may have a heat loss problem. Also, all roofs need a balanced ventilation between the soffit and ridge.
