Having a house built, and 7 months ago the builder put a peel & Stick roof on the house. He still has not gotten around to the 5V metal roof. Surprise SUrprise - last week the roof leaked, after over 6 mos exposure to hot FL sun. And after floors, cabinets, etc are installed. FOrtunately, we were able to catch the leak before any damage could be done. However, he obviously has to fix it. His solution is to put 30# felt over the peel & stick. Shouldn't he be putting new peel & stick on instead? The original P&S warranty is obviously invalid at this point. On top of the current peel & stick?

Not sure you need Ice/water in FL. I would just have them put down some woven poly underlayment and cat staple it down. You get another 6 months of coverage then. Eric Novotny
