Is lightning a problem with metal roofs?

While metal will conduct electricity, it doesn't "attract" it -- lightning strikes the tallest object around regardless of its composition. Should that be the roof, it will typically ground out through the structure. Metal Construction Association has a document on lightning and metal roofs that can be found on their website or feel free to drop me an email and I will send you a copy of it. My email is [email protected]
