Guest User
Help!! I have 2 guys (one my son ,one a friend) who both have experience installing metal roofs. They are helping put mine on but are disagreeing on whether to use purl insurance and whether to screw on the flats or the ridges.

Always adhere to manufacturer instructions. To the best of my knowledge, most manufacturers call for fasteners to be placed in flat areas where the entire rubber washer can lay flat against the metal. Again, always adhere to manufacturer specifications.
