What is the recommended fastener when installing a snap lock roof over 1 x 6 v joint pine roof deck on an open pavilion? The underside of the roof deck will be exposed so the fastener should not penetrate through the decking. Basic wind speed in this area is 90 mph per 2012 IRC.

It will likely be a TEK metal roofing screw but this recommendation, including fastener spacing, needs to come from the metal roofing manufacturer based upon their performance testing and their code approvals. Todd Miller
