I have a warehouse (steel framed) with a corrugated metal roof that is over 50 years old and leaks everywhere when it rains in phoenix. not often but it does rain here. I would like to install plywood sheeting and a rolled roof over the existing metal, can this be done and what would the proper method be?

This can probably be done as long as structural the building can support the weight and allow for the plywood to be properly secured. You perhaps should hire a structural engineer to review things.9 Todd Miller

Thanks Todd. I checked the additional load and with 3/8 ply and the rolled roofing it will add an additional 2.4 lbs per sqft with the size of the perlins, posts and beams should be good. its not snow country and everything is always engineered for snow load.
