What type of flat metal roof to be used as porch deck? | Ask The Experts Forum

Guest User 9/15/2016	Hello, we are replacing our flat seam metal roof which has a railing at perimeter and was used as a porch on the second floor. What type of metal roof is best for use as a porch floor that will have furniture sitting on it and people walking on it? Roofing contractor is recommending copper. I feel it is to soft. Thank you. Eric Novotny An informed customer is the Best Customer! 9/15/2016	Everything is going to show foot traffic and if the furniture does not have large and weight displacing feet, it will show dents where the feet are on the roof. 24 gauge steel is what I would run and I would double up the roof decking for additional strength.
