Slope requirement

Guest User
I have a mid-60's home with a rubber roof which I think is due to the roof having very little slope. The roof slopes at a rate of 1" every 12". Is there a minimum slope requirement for steel roofing?

You have then what is referred to as a 1:12 pitch. That pitch roof will require a mechanically seamed standing seam roof. That is your only option in metal. Basically panel;s are laid next to each other on the roof and then an electric seamer or hand tolls are used to crimp a tight lock between the adjacent panels.

That low a pitch = Mechanical Standing seam as Todd pointed out.
