Metal Roof with eyebrows

Richard Maki
Hey everyone, I have a project coming up for installing Metal Sales Classic Rib over an existing shingled roof. My contractor wants me to send out 2x4 first and then put steel over that. I attached a picture of what I would call an eyebrow. I am curious if anyone has tackled this situation before and have some ideas how to trim this spot out. Thank you very much.

Richard, my recommendation would to remove the shingles from the eyebrow; trim and bend flat sheet to cover the area making sure the metal goes under the soffit and fascia. Have the valley go to the edge of roof line on both sides so that the water does not flow over the eyebrow metal. The gutter will have to be raised if installing 2 x 4's.

Thank you, that would be easier then what I was thinking.
