Metal Roof Pipe & Penetration

Can you tell me if anyone has used this product? and is there other / better way to flash the roof?

+1 Never used it but it appears that it should work. Don't care for the bubble foil right on the deck or sure why a Dectite wouldn't work there. Eric Novotny

Hi Eric, This product could incorporate a pipe boot if needed and/or required, but why spend the extra money & time? I have a photo of a job we completed in which a specific metal manufacturer required a pipe boot be installed to uphold their 20 year water tightness warranty. I've attached this detail for your reference and use. We were ok with this because the standing seam metal roof system was still 100% free floating. The one thing we do question with several other metal manufacturers is their performance warranty; as we start to see more and more 30-50 year metal roof systems being marketed, especially to Homeowners, I always wondered how a manufacturer can incorporate a 15-20 year component detail with a 30-50 year warranty. Thoughts?
