Bending your own SS panels

Return to Forum

Hello. I just bought a home which needs a ton of work. The roof is the first project and since I own a 10' sheet metal break and was a tinner 10 years ago, I wondered if bending up 10' panels is cost effective. It just struck me how much more the SS panels are after they simply feed them through a roll former.

There are many good metal roofs out there which have been made that way. You may want to make sure what type of warranty you will have based on the metal you buy. One limitation of course would be whether you need long enough panels to need horizontal laps if you bend them on a brake. Todd Miller
