Concealed Panel Clips

Return to Forum

I'm having a standing seam metal roof installed. Because of the location, the manufacturer is requiring a "double lock" seam in order to offer a warranty . The contractor is using a seaming machine but, it appears that the concealed panel clips show through the seams. Is this normal and acceptable? If not, is there something that is being done incorrectly i.e. is there an adjustment on the seaming machine which would prevent it from crimping the metal so tight? Thanks in advance for your help!

The fact that you have two layers of metal in some locations and 3 layers in others will normally result in the clip printing through slightly. The visibility of the clip tends to diminish over time based on dirt and general familiarity with it. Eric Novotny
