owner install of standing seam roof

Guest User
I have roofing experience with shingles and metal flashing for valleys, aprons etc. I have a shed roof over my garage, that is underneath some large oaks. I think metal is a better roof material for this area. The shed roof is 20 by 16feet. the pitch is perfect for metal and is easy enough for walking on it. I'm thinking of doing it myself. It looks like a good intro to standing seam. Is it beyond a novice like myself or can I learn as I go. It's just 320 square feet. I plan to strip off the old timberlines and refelt to a clean new deck. Your advice would be welcome. Thanks, Dennis

This probably is within your capabilities. I would expect to invest about 30 hours though.
