JUST A FEW DAYS AGO THE ROOFERS CAME TO INSTALL THE STICKY BACK WATER BEARER. I MENTIONED THERE WAS A TROPICAL STORM COMING AND THEY DID NOT LISTEN. OF COURSE IT RAINED ON MY WOOD THAT WAS EXPOSED, AND THEY STILL LAID THE STICKY BACK WATER BEARER WILL THIS CAUSE MOLD ISSUES AND DRY ROT OF MY WOOD LATER ON? THEY CAME BACK TO ROLL IT OUT BUT THE ROOF UNDER LAMENT IS STILL ALL WRINKLED IN SOME AREAS. THE COUNTY INSPECTOR DID NOT PASS THE WORK THE FIRST TIME AND ITS BEEN DAYS SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN BACK. THEY SAY THE DAMP WOOD WILL DRY OUT AND THAT THERE WILL BE NO ISSUES DOWN THE LINE BECAUSE THE HEAT WILL DRY UP ANY MOISTURE THAT HAS BUILT UP.. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE THEY ARE ALSO ADDING A CUPOLA AND THIS WHOLE THING IS STARTING TO MAKE ME WORRY THAT THEY ARE NOT LOOKING OUT FOR MY BEST INTEREST THANK YOU :)

In my experience, getting wet once or twice and then drying out (even over time) does not lead to any major issues.

Good sun exposure should burn out any of the water in the substrate.
