Caught in the rain

We are putting metal on our home over shingles, we havent finished the ridge yet, however when we finished the night before we only had a chance of rain and now we are going to get a very good amount. There are 2 layers of shingles under the metal. Will it leak badly? Its a 10/12 pitch. Worst case scenario I can go up and felt the ridge for a little protection. Will the screws seal tight to the shingles? Thanks

It's hard to say but I'd say that you are at serious risk. I would suggest tarping or somehow covering the ridge,
