TOPIC: I Have An Existing Metal Roof and Have A Question

tek28 aulibel vs metal alluminum roofing

I live in a building that is planning on redoing the roofing. We are deciding between tek28 aulibel and the sandwich type alluminum roofing (corus trisomet 333 type) with 3cm of insulation. The top floor apartments have attics over them except for the ends of the buildings where the top floor apartments are directly under the roof. The tek28 is a lot cheaper than the other metal alluminum but I am wondering if it is as thermal efficient and as sturdy as the other. thank you Mary

Greetings Mary, Thanks for your question about metal roofing. I do not have experience with either of these products, but after reviewing product info online, I believe that the Corus Trisomet would be more thermally efficient due to its greater thickness of insulation. The greater depth also will provide greater load carrying capability for a given span.
