I am designing a house I will be building on the Oregon Coast. I want to use a standing seam aluminum product. The home I am designing is rectangular hip roof on a 5:12 pitch. San you describe the sealing capabilities on the ridges against driving winds. Thanks Mike

Thanks for choosing an aluminum roof. Here is a CAD detail from my company. We also have a detail for a vented ridge, but in high wind areas we recommend only using the venting on the leeward side. Let us know if we can help with anything else. http://www.atas.com/getattachment/6f5e95f5-d1d2-4031-bc50-00256838d7fa/Dutch-Seam-Ridge.aspx
