TOPIC: I Have An Existing Metal Roof and Have A Question

leaks in high wind

I just had a tin roof installed on my 100+ year old home last year. Every time we have a rainstorm with high winds the roof leaks from the ridge. Is this common with tin roofs? The contractor did a repair to the area around a vent pipe and assured me that the roof was properly installed. What can be done to fix this? I have water damage to an upstairs wall where the water was running down from the attic.

This should not be the case. If you'd like to send photos of the roof to me, that would be great. I can let you know if I ahve any questions or concerns. [email protected] Todd Miller
