flashing for dormer ridge

I have a dormer ridge that intersects a 6/12 pitched roof. The dormer ridge is below the ridge of the roof it intersects. How do I install flashing around the area where the dormer ridge meets the 6/12 pitched roof. It is a metal roof. With gratitude, Opie

This depends a great deal upon exactly what type of ridge cap you're using as well as upon what type of panel you're installing. If possible, you want the ridge cap on the dormer to extend up the adjoining roof. Todd Miller
