The existing torch down is at the end of it's life and needs replacement. The roof pitch is rather shallow, just greater than 2:12 but not 3:12 (leave it to Alaska's "boom buiders"). A. Is the pitch too shallow for a standard corrugated steel roof? B. Are there any special considerations I should take when dealing with the fastening aside from approproiate screw lenght in these cold climates? Thanks.

Most metal roofs will require a 3:12. My only advice is to use this website and contact directly the manufacturers of vertical seam panels. Inquire what they have that is suitable for roofs of less than 3:12 in your climate. If they have something, make sure you receive and follow their instructions to a "T". Todd Miller

use a product called tri-flex under your steel this will keep any condensation from ice build-up from getting into your sheeting

I cannot stress enough that you must NEVER EVER install a metal roof system at a pitch lower than the minimum pitch stated by its manufacturer.
