existing metal roof incorrect venting

I am getting ready to remodel an existing home and build to additional dwellings on my property. my question is the existing home and 1800 sq.ft. shop have metal roofing but leaves and debris are always blowing in, come to find out that the installer never installed venting or the baffel material under the ridge vent. The ridge vent is directly on the roof. I need a sorce to help identify my roof and help me correct the situation as well as to quote two new structures. 770-367-8565

Many ridge vents do not require this material but based upon the design it may require a filter media. Todd Miller

If the ridge vent accessible from the attic side or will it have to be roof side? Todd is correct. They make ridge vent media filters that can be installed to prevent wind driven debris from getting through. Eric Novotny
