porch roof

I would like to install metal roofing on a new porch roof that is attached to a two story house. The porch roof is 4 on 12 OSB - shed type center with sloping ends. Three sides of the porch will be open to the elements. What should I use to cover the OSB before installing the standing rib metal and are there any videos available showing metal roofing being installed on an attached porch roof? I would appreciate any help. Thank you

I am not aware of any videos showing that specifically though there are a lot of metal roofing videos on Youtube. Make sure that your underlayment meets local building codes as well as the requirements of your roofing manufacturer. Personally I would suggest an Ice and Watershield product. Your roofing manufacturer should be able to provide complete installation details. If they can't, really, I'd suggest seeking out someone who can. Todd Miller

+1 Pretty straightforward install. Check with the metal supplier and they might have install videos in addition to underlayment requirements. Make sure to get your counter/wall flashing correct. Eric Novotny
