!) Is there an offensive glare given off to any onlookers in a Florida sun from a copper roof? 2) If not, then how is it that there isn't? 3) Is the use of copper roofing realistic? Thank you.

Copper can make a beautiful and durable roof. However, there really is no practical way to keep it shiny. In most applications, it will have turned to a brown "aged penny" color within 12 or so months. It will develop the characteristic green patina over time, perhaps 3 - 15 years. Salt environments speed up that process. There are also painted steel and aluminum roofs available which have a copper look. Some of those colors may be lower gloss. Todd Miller

How embarrassing -- the main offensive glare I see is coming off of my big bald head when I look at my picture above! Have a good day, everyone! Todd Miller
