recommendation for application in the south

Guest User
We will be building a new home near Hilton Head in SC. We want some metal roof accents on our low country style home, but are concerned about the effect the sun and warmer weather on the roof, especially for fading and its life span. I have recently seen a lot of homes there that are 10 to 15 years exhibiting discoloration, fading, and chalking. Can you please advise on this matter? Thanks

Products with Kynar 500 and Hylar 5000 finishes will have the greatest fade and chalk resistance. You could also consider natural (unpainted) metals like copper and zinc.

Copper is very nice if you can afford the expense of it.
