I have read about Kynar being a quality coating for a metal roof. However, in my area (central IL) I have not found anyone who sells this. Rather, the roofing companies sell metal roofing with SpectraCote. How do these coatings compare? Thank you.

Generically, Kynar is a PVDF coating. SpectraCote is a name which Wheeling Corrugated applies to their paint system. I am not certain but I think it is a PVDF finish.
