Which way is right?

I have viewed 4 different homes with metal roofs installed. NUMBER 1: Strips across roof with styrofoam insulation between strips. NUMBER 2: Strips across roof with bubble wrap between strips. NUMBER 3: Strips across roof only. NUMBER 4: metal roof directly on shingles. Which way is the correct way?

Any of the four method can be correct provided you are installing the appropriate kind of metal roofing. Feel free to call me if you wish to discuss which method is most suitable for your home. 1-800-543-8938 ext 201

+1 All can be done correctly but the true "correctness" depends on the application and what they were trying to accomplish, what the attic or construction is like, etc, etc.

Stephen, Different products will have different application methods. Always adhere to manufacturer specifications as well as applicable building codes. Once you choose a manufacturer, they should be able to consult with you regarding your particular application.
