I want to remove a satellite dish from my metal roof. What do I use to kept it from leaking after the dish removal? i want it to be a permanent repair job and I want to do it myself.

I would suggest a butyl rubber sealant. If it is a very large hole, then riveting in matching metal along with lots of sealant would be advised. If this is a metal shingle roofs you can cap over the damaged panel with a new panel.

+1 Depending on hole size, you can rivet and fill the hole as well. If a panel system, I would recommend replacement of that given panel. How is it that Todd always beats me to the punch????

Haha. Sorry. Your input is ALWAYS spot-on and sooo appreciated! The way the board works now though is that all posts have to be approved by Ken or me or one of the others before they go live ... just to keep any craziness from going up. Thanks for all you do!
