Hip Roof Peak

Return to Installation

Return to Forum

I am building an 8ft x 8ft shed with a metal hip roof. I have installed ovrelapping sheets of metal on the four sides of the sheds roof and am ready to install the ridge caps to cover their cut edges. My quadry is how to make the apex of the roof water tight where the 4 ridge caps meet at the roofs peak. Hope you can help out.

You will need to miter the four pieces, make sure that any waterways keep water channeled the right way, and then build a custom pyramid shaped cap for the peak. Todd Miller
