What is the correct way to install the drip edge for the metal roof over existing gutter?

The drip edge needs to direct water into the gutter.

Thank you for your reply Todd. My installer has cut knotches in the drip edge so it would fit down over the gutter brackets. Now my concern is water getting behind the back of the gutter to the facia. I thought they should have taken the gutter brackets off & reinstall after fitting the drip edge over the back off the gutter. Does it matter?

The way they did it sounds pretty standard actually.

Should I be able to see the decking where it is knotcked, or over the top of the back of the gutter?
