I am wondering if when installing new metal on a brand new building if it is alright to strap the trusses with 2x4s,and not sheet the roof with plywood.as well how far apart should the strapping be apart. Thanks

Some metal roofing panels can be installed this way and some cannot. If you choose to install an appropriate panel in this manner you will have to get a load table chart from the manufacturer which will allow you to figure out spacing of the battens. Todd Miller
