Dear experts,
I am living in Brisbane. My house has metal roof (it is called metal tile). I was told that metal roof is extremely hot in summer. During last summer, the first summer in my house, I did find that metal roof is hotter than concrete roof in summer.
There is no insulation on my roof, so some builders told me to install insulation to resolve this problem. Do you think installing insulation can make my house cooler in summer?
Thank you in advance!

Energy studies done in Florida comparing metal to concrete have ultimately shown that metal performs best from an energy standpoint.
One very crucial factor is ventilation. Yes, insulation on top of ceilings is good and important but an even better thing is good ventilation threough the airspace.
