I've contracted to have a standing seam metal roof to be installed on a roof with metal decking supported by open web joists. The manufacturer of the roof claims they will only warranty the roof if the camber in the roof does not exceed 1/4" on 20 feet. My roof which measures 38 feet from ridge to eave has a camber of approximately 7/8" to 1" going from ridge to eave. The manufacturer says the camber is too great and that they will therefore not warranty the roof.
Does this make sense to you?

Really, I have never heard of anything like this before. However, standing seam roofing on top of metal deck is not my forte. So, this could very well be the case but just something with which I am not familiar.
Have you talked with the manufacturer of the roof and the decking?
